Robert J. Richardson

Robert is a corporate lawyer with over 34 years of experience specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and crisis remediation. He advises public companies, private equity firms, special committees, and financial advisors on complex transactions, governance matters, and distressed situations. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel (Canada) at CIBC and held board positions within CIBC World Markets. He is currently with McCarthy Tétrault LLP and also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Western University and Osgoode Hall Law School, teaching corporate finance, M&A, and corporate crisis management.
